BEER TALK WITH SCOTT

BEER TALK WITH SCOTT: CHNA
“TODAY’S BEERS ARE FROM BEIGIE AND QUAUANG
Today, you will read about three beers, even though I have tried four different ones at this time. The one I am not going to talk about is tsgsaug – you can buy that at Publix, so it is not making the cut for this post.
The other three are local Chinese beers. Local beers are royal in presentation. Most come in 600 mL bottles, wrapped with foil around the top. Each brand is unique in design, as you can see in the photos.
The first is from Beijing: Beijing brewing company. A little darker, but it is still a lager in style. It has a very rich taste, but not too dark. It is malty with a dirty. blonde head. I would buy this again but it was hard to find. I heard this is from a small brewery, but was unable to get any more information.
The second beer is called MaoTai. MaoTai is the producer of the most famous and the national wine of China, which is a type of rice wine. It is local to Guiyang, but still very expensive. The rice wine liquor runs about 900 RMB (yuan), which is about $130 US, for a small bottle. Needless to say, we haven’t sampled this. But the beer is cheap!
2. MAOTAI BEER Once again it comes in a 600ml or 22 oz. foil wrapped pop topped bottle, no screw tops here in china. This a golden beer (pi ju) with a light clean slighty sweet beer with a light malt finish. The head is light in color to go with the bright color of the beer. This is a top quqlity beer with a very refreshing taste and a great local beer. It would sell great in the USA. The cost of the beer was 7RMB or $1.00 US dollar.
3. LIQ BEER this will be the first of a few fromthis brewer from Qailin the provence which wee be spending the next week. This I a light lager beer, it is in a clear bottle and seems like a light beer(but of coarse I read the label.
It is clean and light in color with a crisp sweet start taste with a very light malt finish. This is one of my top Chinese beers, it goes great with any meal on a hot southern Chinese southern day. The cost is 3RMB or .50 cents.
That is me wearing my GT colors having a cold one at the Great Wall, what a climb.

POST A COMMENT I WANT TO HERE FROM YOU, MORE TO COME SOON. PLEASE POST AND PUT YOUR NAME IN THE POST.
THANKS SCOTT and have cold one…….
